As the one fella said, I'd be impressed if a Kerry supporter can articulate his vision. THis is not meant as a knock on his supporters. Rather, it just seems their primary motivation is "ABB" (Anybody But Bush). Cute slogan, but a little worrisome if you're looking to turn the keys over.
I have issues with some of Bush's policies, but he gets the big things right, in my view. Cut taxes, take the fight to our enemy, and maintain priorities. I'd like him to seriously curtail the discretionary spending and, following the election, I think Rumsfeld has to go.
I often wonder if having Kerry as prez and a Rep Congress might return America to a more fiscally conservative period. Of course, that comes with a big risk. Namely, Kerry has not demonstrated resolve in foreign policy. Fecklessness invites danger. |
