KANDAHAR, Afghanistan – Joint Afghan and foreign forces attacked two Taliban positions in southern Afghanistan and called in airstrikes, killing 30 militants, officials said yesterday.
Two Danish soldiers also died in a gunbattle with the Taliban in Gereshk Valley in Helmand province.
