Chief Bones

Did any of you ever think that the story that started this thread might just be true? Did you consider that Edwards might NOT have been aware of what was transpiring when the young aide used his name in trying to help out his boss? I don't know whether Edwards knew or not - I can picture it going either way ... why can't the rest of you? Not ALL politicians lie ALL of the time - sometimes they do tell the truth - believe it or not.

For sure, I am not at all sure that I would trust ANYTHING that Walmart's spinmeisters would have to say about this story. Edwards HAS hurt Walmart with his stance against Walmart's policies, and Walmart would not miss a chance to smear Edwards for the slightest of reasons. Note the "This summer, Wal-Mart hired Edelman executive Leslie Dach as its public relations director and put him on the company's executive team. Analysts predicted the retailer would likely become more aggressive toward its critics" from the article. It could very well explain the tenor of the spin that has been placed on this story.
