BAGHDAD, Sept 22, 2006 (AFP) - Insurgents killed two US soldiers in Iraq in
separate attacks, the military announced Friday.
A soldier was killed Thursday when his vehicle was struck by a roadside bomb
in east Baghdad, while another died in "enemy action" in western restive
Sunni Al-Anbar province.
The latest fatalities bring the US military's losses in Iraq since the March
2003 invasion to 2,689, according to an AFP count based on Pentagon figures.
