BAGHDAD - Insurgents killed a US soldier in a roadside bomb attack north of
Baghdad, bringing to 15 the number of servicemen who have died in the past
five days, the US military said Thursday.
The soldier was hit by the bomb during a routine security mission on
Wednesday, it said.
The latest fatality brought the US military's losses in Iraq since the March
2003 invasion to 2,634, according to Pentagon figures.
