I have three 1ST Cavalry patches and one 8th Army from soldier who served during the Occupation of Japan. 1ST Cavalry 99TH F.A. Bn "C" Battery Jan 47-Oct 47. Nov 47-July 48 8TH Army-Procurement Kokura Branch.

2 1ST Cavalry and the 8TH Army were worn. All 3 of the back sides of the 1ST Cavalry patches look different. Would they all been made in Japan and/or would the base get patches from a state side supplier? The soldier then buying the patches from who ever was cheaper?
