Sven, Never say never, my friend. Do you remember the first "luggable" computers? heck. Just look at the ENIAC and UNIVAC from many years ago. Those are still well within the scope of living memory.

With the recent influx of new technologies, I would not be surprised if these weapons are right around the corner or even aready deployed as LocalGrizzly has suggested. And I agree that their development and continued deployment shall be many times more significant than the nuke.
