| JTF-1 was disbaned after the first gulf war because Canada simple didnt need it. Then a new JTF was created (hence the name JTF-2) because it took over the RCMP's ERT team and it was used as a Special Forces unit. They did reraise JTF-1 that why its called JTF-2. Hope this clears it up again.
