| A twin deck aircraft carrier is not new, but why the heavy guns when the world has gone missile crazy. A missile will go further and be for accurate than a gun and making those heavy shells will not be much different in price than a missile. Surely they will not get close enough to the enemy to open fire with the big guns. If it is also going to be an aircraft carrier then any shore bombardment can be done by aircraft.
