First of all, try to be a bit more specific please. Using "Vietnamization" is painting with a very broad brush. And no, it's not the same. Many many of the Vietnamese who fought for South Vietnam were very sincere and quite motivated to fight for their land. They understood exactly what they had to win or lose. And many of them were very skilled fighters indeed. I'm not so sure the same can be said about the Iraqis. Not that highly motivated and skilled troops don't exist in Iraq - just not sure of the proportions of numbers.
