I can't believe this.... The doctor at recruitment back in assessment day made me see an orthapaedic surgeon just to check a stupid clicking left hip. What really ticks me off is that it cost a **** load of money just to see this specialist ($110-130). The specialist told me that he thought its most likely was just a tendon making the noise and it was nothing serious. Then of course he wanted to make me fork more money out by having an X-ray and an MRI scan. both of these procedures cost over 100 dollars themselves and medicare does not cover this crap unfortunatly. I swear, i hate this military recruitment for all the crap im going through. Before i even had to grab school reports and get every form certified by the police station (3 police officers can to help sign signatures on each page). Im tired of these delays and i can't wait until the day i won't have to deal with recruitment anymore.
Yeah that'll happen. Your not a defence member yet, so your not eligible for reimbursment or free medical from them. It's up to you to prove your health, not them.

I had to see an optometrist and get a report on my eyes. I had to pay for it, and yeah it's expensive. BUT, I didn't care because I wanted to join the army, and the money was not an issue. I was happy to do what ever it took to prove my health, and comply with everything else they ask for. Just remember, your joining the army. It's not a place where you can coast your way through or skip steps, and that starts with recruitment, and will remain for your entire career.
