FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. - Nearly 1,200 members of the 101st Airborne Division are
scheduled to return from Iraq this weekend and early next week, the military
said yesterday.

The soldiers returning in four groups are with the 101st and 159th Aviation
Brigades and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Brigade Combat Teams.

The Army post will hold welcome-home ceremonies for the soldiers at 6:30
a.m. CDT today; 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. tomorrow; and 3:30 p.m. on Monday.

About 900 soldiers with the 101st returned in two days earlier this week.

The division's 20,000 soldiers began deploying to Iraq for the second time
in August 2005. Soldiers have been returning gradually, beginning with small
groups last month. The Army post said yesterday that so far, 2,800 soldiers
have returned to Fort Campbell.

The return flights are expected to continue through November.
