1-14th 25th INF Golden Dragons "Right of the Line"

This was my first unit assignment after basic in 1949; it was known then as the 14th Inf Regt based at Fort Carson Co. it was under 5th Army and a training unit for cold weather testing of new gear and equipment. Guess what my next assignment was Korea the Inchon invasion and untimately the battle of the Chosin reservior in -40 degree temperature with no appropriate equipment it hadn't been sent yet things were moving too fast and the Chinese came into the picture. My training in the 14th paid off ,I;m still here, I learned later the the 14th was sent to Korea some months later and became part of the 25th Div I believe. I ended up being a 31st IR Polarbear in the 7th ID So Pro Patria hope this message isn't too long.
